Cris Gherman was born in 1975 in the cold city of Transylvania, Romania. In 1989 he decided to leave his city because he no longer could tolerate the communism that existed at the time.
At the age of sixteen he was working in Bucharest and driven by a crazy impulse he took a train to Hungary. He then obtain several jobs in: construction, sales at a Chinese markets, night clubs, and lastly cleaning bathrooms.
All this hard work was in order to buy the best and most expensive equipment. He later traveled to an art school in Ireland where he graduated with a degree in classical animation.
After opening a shop with his business partner, German decided to open up his own tattoo shop 13 Fat Catz, where he currently works.
